SGIM-EBM

Society for General Internal Medicine-Evidence Based Medicine

Project Description

The SGIM-EBM Task Force developed the "EBM for the Practicing Clinician" workshop to enhance clinicians' abilities to find and use the best available evidence at the point of care. Clinicians complete a one-day workshop with a 30-day follow-up period during which participants have access to a CHE desktop and are asked to complete at least one interactive evidence-based online case.

CHE's Role

The CHE developed the workshop desktop and is currently developing a facilitator manual and participant folder, as well as several teaching aides and quick guides for teaching evidence-based medicine. The CHE has also translated four clinical cases to an online interactive format for use during and after the workshop.
