CHEDESK

Eligible University of Alberta faculty, fellows, and residents can register for access by going to http://www.cche.net/chedesk

Project Description

CHEDESK provides a single point-of-access to clinical, knowledge, teaching, and administrative materials. Groups within CHEDESK receive access to a filtered selection of library resources, single sign-on access to clinical resources, and file management tools that can be used to create customized repositories for teaching materials and administrative documents.

Developed in conjunction with the University of Alberta Department of Medicine, this online learning, practicing, and teaching environment is an extension of the original CHE Demonstration Project (1999-2001).

CHE's Role

CHE developed the desktop and works with multiple Departments and Divisions in the Faculty of Medicine to ensure that high quality sources of evidence are collected, organized, abstracted and delivered to faculty and students.

The Centre for Health Evidence also works with the Department of Medicine's Information Management committees to develop new informatics initiatives and integrate these into the CHEDESK environment.
